SmartCapital is a financial services company offering venture capital fund marketplace software and investment portfolios that is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and was founded in 2017 by John Siladie, Jackson Killion, and Paul Foley. Software made by SmartCapital is made to help create Special Purpose Investment Vehicle's (SPV's) and manage all the associated accounting, taxes, and distributions of the SPV over its lifetime. SmartCapital's platform allows groups of angel investors to create SPV's together quickly by having documents for entity creation, operating agreements, subscription agreements, and other documents created for each SPV automatically by SmartCapital software.

The first portfolio by SmartCapital was launch in Q2 of 2019 and consisted of 30 revenue generating companies that have previously raised money operating in Colorado.
On January 1, 2018 SmartCapital raised $250,000 in seed funding from Boulder Bits and Connector Investments.
