Rockset is a developer of a real-time analytics platform developed to help organizations build data applications and dashboards. The platform operates on raw data and is capable of syncing new data from sources without the need for a fixed scheme. This allows users to search, aggregate, and join any data at scale, developed to offer cost-efficient converged indexing and compute-storage separation in the cloud. Rockset works to enable interactive, real-time analytics for applications in logistics, cybersecurity, gaming, and more.
Rockset's real-time analytics platform is built for users to work on the cloud and build user-facing analytics. The service offers low latency and high concurrency for analytical queries and is developed to work at scale on structured and semi-structured data through a converged index.
The platform includes built-in connectors, allowing users to ingest data by initially bulking load data and, once loaded, switching to continuous ingest to stay in sync with a data source, across popular database services. Rockset offers continuous rollups and transformations, allowing users to pre-aggregate and transform data at ingest using SQL and reduce the cost of storing and querying data.
The platform also offers smart schemas, which are automatically generated schemas based on the fields and types present in the ingested data. These schemas offer semi-structured data, nested objects and arrays, and mixed types to help users with relational SQL queries across constructs. And all fields are automatically indexed in Rockset's Converged Index. The index includes an inverted index, columnar index, and row index and allows for analytical queries on large datasets.
The Rockset platform also uses compute and storage resources independent of each other to increase the performance of both and allow for the best amount of compute for query performance and data syncs. And the platform uses a cloud-native Aggregator Leaf Tailer (ALT) architecture, which auto-scales in the cloud and automates cluster provisioning and index managing, intended to help users optimize costs and minimize operational overhead.
