Repmonk is an Artificial Intelligence company based in California which specializes in recognition and analysis of physical fitness activity. The company created a workout log application capable of recognizing specific sets of exercise without voice or manual input. Machine learning is used for logging activity with a smartwatch, or a smartphone app that uses computer vision to recognize workouts.

Arnie is an app by Repmonk founder Tarun Malik which uses the SDK and is targeted towards personal trainers. The service can be purchased as a one-time payment or monthly subscription based on the number of clients.

The SDK allows the company’s app to use machine learning and computer vision to track the training progress of an individual completely hands-free. The app records activities to provide detailed reports about the number of repetitions, sessions, and time taken for a specific workout. Visual representation of the workout types and weekly progression are also accessible within the dashboard.

The use of Repmonk SDK allows the app to classify the kind of workout being performed and count the number of repetition in real time. Tarun Malik created the company Repmonk in 2017. Tarun worked as a product engineer with Intel until 2014. Tarun also created Gestype keyboard app for the iOS platform to help visually impaired users. Arnie was launched in July of 2018 for iOS platform.
