Raj Anand (born 1982) is a London-based web entrepreneur. He was one of eighteen Young Entrepreneurs in Europe profiled by BusinessWeek in 2007. He was an ambassador for the Enterprise UK campaign. Anand was the author of Social Media's Impact on Recruitment and HR.
Rajeshwar Singh Anand was born in Kuwait and grew up in Kuwait, India and UK.
Anand has a bachelor's degree in computer system engineering and master's of research in Computer science and Artificial intelligence from University of Sussex. He was one of six entrepreneurs chosen by the panel and won Government funding to take a short Master of Business Administration course at Cranfield University. Before studying at the University of Sussex, Anand attended the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, where he took part in a one year program for computer science and mathematics.
A Brighton-based investor, David Hill, provided the funding for Anand's first business, Kwiqq, which he launched at the age of 23. Kwiqq provided a social networking platform for corporations and entrepreneurs. Anand was active as co-founder and head of product for Kwiqq from 2006 to 2009.
Anand has spoken at the British Library and Foreign and Commonwealth Office in support of entrepreneurship and the MakeYourMark campaign, and was the creator of SUE, Sussex University Entrepreneurs.
Anand founded, and serves as chief executive officer, of content writing services company Goodman Lantern. He founded Goodman Lantern in 2014 with the company split in two departments: content writing and software development.
