RAEN

Founded in 2013 by Carlo and Dante Mondavi, RAEN is a Sebastopol, California-based winery. The pair started their wine education at a young age working alongside their father, Tim, and grandfather Robert at Robert Mondavi and Opus One.

The wine-growing brothers specialize in red wines, most specifically pinot noir. The pair attributes their love for red wines to their father, who experienced success with pinot noir in the early 1970s, thought family ties to wine-making in the family dates back over a century.

RAEN has three vineyards spanning across the Sonoma Coast.

The vineyards are placed in these locations due to the temperature required for growing pinot noir grapes. In a statement from Carlo Mondavi he said:

The grapes prefer a cool climate, which is why we [RAEN] chose what we refer to as the true Sonoma Coast.
