Pontifax AgTech

Pontifax Agtech is a venture capital firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 2014 by

Benjamin Belldegrun and Philip Erlanger. It provides growth stage capital to companies in the food and agriculture technology. It has invested in the crop genetics, robotics, farm data management, harvesting and processing, and aquaculture sectors.

Pontifax Agtech closed its first fund in 2017 at a value of $105 million. This fund was largely back by institutional and university investors.

In October 2019, it had the first close of its second fund which had a target value of $250 million.
