Neurofenix invented the Neuroball, a device used for stroke rehabilitation that is connected to a tablet application designed to make rehabilitation motivating and fun by using games. Co-founders Guillem Singla Buxarrais and Dimitris Athanasiou both were inspired by family members who had strokes and seeing the impact of strokes on the survivor and their families.

Neurofenix won the nesta Inventor Prize of £50,000 in 2018. Neurofenix has a clinical trial planned to be led by Brunel University London, funded by Innovate UK. The company believes their technology can be applied to other conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, hand injury and osteoarthritis.
