Membrane provides cross-chain netting, clearing, and synchronized settlement to streamline crypto trading and lending.

Membrane offers pricing and lending rates through UI and API. The platform facilitates clearing and settling executed trades and loans. Users can send and receive trades/loans, they can propose alternate terms, and push to chain. Membrane also mitigates counterparty risk by pausing before sending executed transactions to chain until both sides approve.

• Cross-custodian Clearing: Clients are able transact with other Membrane users not withstanding the custodian or execution venue.
• Netting: Netting is performed in real time, and the system monitors and reports credit as well. The Membrane sub-atomic netting engine brings down the number of transfers.
• Settlement Security: Membrane uses a custodial system to make sure no funds move from the wallets without a counter transfer.
• Trading & Lending: External execution methods are supported through the Membrane API. It supports both credit and balance modes for platform use. Users can trade or lend BTC, BCH, LTC, ETH, ERC20s, plus USD and others.
