Megapont

Megapont is a pixel art, non-fungible token (NFT) project found on Stacks. The Megapont universe is a fictional place where advanced scientific mutations quickened the evolutions of different species on Earth, and it is advertised as a "thriving, bustling paradise that has been at peace for a generation." The Megapont Ape Club is an STX NFT project focusing on Chimpanzees in the Megapont world. Megapont was created by Russian pixel artists Dmitry and Yuriy. It is inordinately influenced by the creators Russian heritage, early computer art, and retro 2D computer games.

The token for Megapont's Web3 community on Stacks is Megacoin. MEGA is its community intitiative's governance token. Launched April 11, 2022, on the Ethereum blockchain, MegaKongs are an extension of the Megapont Ecosystem. The utility is identical to Megapont Apes, and MegaKongs carry complete membership in Megapont. There are 6000 MegaKongs in total supply.

After the launch of the Megapont Robot Factory project specifically for original ape holders, Megapont offered its community a mint of 10,000 Wasteland Apes, which is a joint project created alongside the developers of an interactive storytelling project called Indigo: Act I. Originally, MegaKongs was announced to be a collection of 100 hand-drawn Ethereum NFTs that were meant to be distributed to and from the STX network over the Banana Bridge.
