March Capital is a Santa Monica-based venture capital firm financing technology companies.

March Capital is a venture capital firm investing in companies focused on enterprise software, cloud, IoT infrastructure, and consumer industries that is headquartered in Santa Monica, California and was founded by Sumant Mandal, James Montgomery, Gregory Milken, and Jim Armstrong. Notable investments made by March Capital include: CrowdStrike (Nasdaq: CRWD), ASAPP, BillDesk, CarTrade, Forter, and Uniphore. As of October 2020, March Capital has $800 million+ under its management and has over 30 portfolio companies.

Investment funds

Fund I

On May 24, 2016, March Capital announced the final close of $240M for its inaugural Fund I. At the time, it was the largest first-time venture fund to launch in Southern California. March Capital Partners invests in both early and late-stage companies across multiple technology sectors, focusing in large part on the infrastructure behind today’s consumer and mobile services. The firm has already invested more than $100 million in over 15 companies globally, and will continue to partner with top entrepreneurs worldwide to build successful technology companies in a variety of enterprise and emerging verticals.

Fund II

On January 24, 2019 March Capital announced that they had closed a $300 million for their Fund II investment fund. The fund will focus on investing in artificially intelligent enterprise software, industrial internet of things (IoT) and associated infrastructure, consumer technologies, and growth in India.

Fund III

On September 16, 2019, March Capital announced raising $410 million for their Fund III Investment fund. The managing directors of the fund are Sumant Mandal, Gregory Milken, and James Montgomery. The fund will be used to make series A, series B, and series C investments.
