Louis Prima

Louis Prima , born as Louis Leo Prima , on December 7, 1910 , was an American singer-songwriter, actor, composer, bandleader, musician, and singer . He was a part of the music industry and associated with genres like jazz and jazz fusion . Popularly known as the "King of the Swingers" , Prima held United States citizenship and was born and died in New Orleans . He passed away on August 24, 1978 .

Prima studied at Jesuit High School (New Orleans) and Warren Easton High School . Louis Prima was the father of Louis Prima Jr., who is also involved in the music industry.
