Julius Axelrod

Julius Axelrod was a biochemist, chemist, neuroscientist, and scientist born in New York City on May 30, 1912. He held citizenship in both the United States and Poland. Axelrod received his education from several notable institutions, including City College of New York, New York University, The George Washington University, George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and Seward Park Campus.

In 1970, Axelrod was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. He passed away in Bethesda, Maryland on December 29, 2004.
