Intersect Labs

Intersect Labs provides machine learning based predictive analysis for businesses. Examples of their platform's applications include, predicting costs to serve new customers, detecting diseases through data and identifying patients that will not show up to their doctors’ appointments. Their platform works from a CSV file from a database or spreadsheet. Their system automatically normalizes data, handles categorical variables and populates missing values intelligently. Intersect Labs trains models, tests them and deploys the most accurate one. The platform constructs a range of machine learning models and evaluates their performance against the target output. Once an ideal model is identified, customers are able to integreate it into their other systems with REST-style API. The goal of the company is to create models that can predictively determine business strategy.

It is expected that over time Intersect will become better at identifying models based on the increasing diversity of datasets it gains access to. The platform potentially can proactively improve models as researcher identify new models or ways to tune them.

In the future the Intersect plans to expand beyond tables with rows and columns to image processing, audio process, video processing and unstructured data processing. Intersect aims to be in the middle of more specialized machine learning platforms that are limited to hyper-focused niches while offering more analytical power than simpler solutions.
