Hydroleap is a Singapore based company which develops an economical industrial wastewater management system. It uses Electrocoagulation, a water treatment process which uses electricity to change particle surface charge to separate impurities from water. Traditional wastewater coagulation process uses expensive chemicals which are not an effective form of water treatment.
Hydroleap provides analysis and equipment deployment services for industries who need wastewater treatment, sludge/slurry management or water recycling in their facilities. Hydroleap’s filtration unit uses electrocoagulation process to remove total suspended solids, heavy metals, emulsified oils, bacteria and other contaminants from water. The availability of electricity in industries make it a cheaper and eco-friendly alternative to expensive chemical coagulants. Electrocoagulation has an inherent limitation with the corrosion of electrode and efficiency depreciation with time. Hydroleap uses smart sensors to reverse polarity and track the level of contaminants, before and after treatment to adjust power distribution.
Mohammad Sherafatmand founded and incorporated the company in 2016. The company is headquartered in Unity Centre, Singapore.
