Genopole is the top biocluster for research in genomics, genetics, biotech, life science, public, private and higher education facilities. It is located in Evry/Corbeil-Essonnes, south of Paris.
Genopole was founded in 1998. The company has expertise in life sciences, especially in synthetic biology, genomics, biotherapies, and entrepreneurship.
Since Genopoles’s creation in 1998, the biocluster has steadily expanded. As of 2019, Genopole has 82 biotech companies, 19 academic laboratories, 25 shared high-tech platforms and facilities. It is home to one of the biggest hospitals in Paris.
More than 190 new companies which have been authorized by Genopole in 21 years. They have helped through customized and specialized R&D and business support. During that period, over €649 million have been raised by Genopole's portfolio organizations, and seven organizations are now recorded on open markets.
