Genesis is a global financial market software company, offering a low-code application platform. The company produces a "low-code applications platform" or LCAP, to allow banking institutions to build their custom software that caters to their needs with less work.

Genesis utilizes a financial markets native language that utilizes fintech-specific terminology and coding language, better suiting it for financial technology. The low-code platform has received attention as banks work to make their IT operations less expensive and more efficient.

Institutions have increasingly relied on the technology platform, as financial markets have needed electronic collaboration tools more during the pandemic. ING announced a partnership with Genesi on July 7, 2020, utilizing its LCAP technology to launch its Credit Insurance Application (CIA) within its London Innovation Lab.

Genesis Global began funding with a $1.7 million USD convertible note from Illuminate Financial Group and Tribeca Early Stage Partners. Both companies added another $3 million in Series A funding, led by partners Mark Beeston and Paul Walker.

Citi backed the financial software company through its Markets FinTech Investments and Sprint groups for an undisclosed amount in October 2020. The investment came after Genesis built a proof of concept for the bank's structured credit trading system, according to Nikhil Joshi, Citigroup's global head of spread products technology and head of US markets technology.
