Dumpster Dorks is a collection of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. It was developed and designed by a team of five people with backgrounds in fields such as animation and game development. There are 5,000 Dumpster Dorks, and they resemble hand-drawn trash mutants from the 1980s and 1990s. Dumpster Dorks are created using a combination of a select 700 traits. The NFTs can vary with arm type, background color, head design, and more. They were initially launched on February 7, 2022, and will continue to be launched in batches until all 5,000 have been minted. The second batch is set to be launched in June 2022.

The team behind Dumpster Dorks states it plans to expand the company into merchandise and has the intention of holding monthly creativity contests where holders and fans of Dumpster Dorks can compete to win prizes related to the NFTs. Holders of the NFTs have exclusive access to events, merchandise, airdrops, and the utility for the second series of Dumpster Dorks.
