In 2011, Sunshine Kids Juvenile Products changed its name to Diono. In May 2015, it was announced that Winona Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm, had made a controlling investment in Diono. In 2016 the Quantum Stroller was launched.

In August 2017, it was announced that Diono had acquired We Made Me, a manufacturer of baby wearing products. In November 2017 Tim Maule was appointed CEO. In May 2018 Peter Wilfahrt was appointed CDO. Diono launched a car seat series in 2018. The Rainier car seat super-seeded by the model 2AX and 2AXT.

In 2019 Diono won the renown Red Dot Design Award with its baby carrier Carus Complete. Diono celebrated the first International Child Passenger Safety Technician Appreciation Day on September 14.
