DiDi Labs was founded in Mountain View, California in March 2017. DiDi Labs was started to create an open and collaborative cross-border knowledge and research network. The company now works to improve mobility, reduce pollution and improve safety and efficiency in transportation in areas including Asia, Latin America and Australia.

DiDi Labs applies machine learning and AI to big data to predict and meet riders’ requirements while developing algorithms for self-driving projects. The company also builds new tools and models while researching on the iteration of driver and passenger physical safety and online security of users’ personal information.

Didi Labs is utilizing AI to research and develop an optimized ride-matching system that dispatches the right number and type of vehicles based on demand prediction. The company also develops technologies in areas such as computer vision, perception, HD mapping and test autonomous vehicle fleets in the United States and China.
