Collective Equity Ownership (CEO) is a London-based equity fund and the provider of CEO I LP, a new type of collective equity fund that allows shareholders of late-stage, venture-backed companies to pool a portion of their shares together with other shareholders of other companies and cash investors. The fund provides diversity of shares, liquidity upfront, and increased exposure to liquidity over time. CEO does not offer wealth management activities or provide financial advice. Collective Equity Ownership was founded in 2017 by Archimede Mulas and Brian Pallas.
CEO seeks to disrupt the classical venture fund model. CEO's clients are founders, investors, or employees with shares of a company who seek to diversify their equity while maintaining their ownership. Partners in the fund can diversify their private stock position and portfolio by contributing both equity and cash. The fund does not own the equity, and therefore no voting or decision making rights are given up. Participation in the fund is offered only to shareholders of private companies that have raised a minimum of £5M from institutional and reputable investors.
