Capricorn Management

Capricorn Management is a venture capital firm in Connecticut that seeks to invest in transactions valued at $50 to $500 million such as acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, spin-offs or other financial approaches. Founded 1987 in Greenwich, Connecticut, United States, it invests in early and late stage ventures. It usually funds Series E, Series B, Series D, venture rounds and Series C rounds. Its portfolio companies include TrueCar, Targeted Growth, Oberon Media and Nanosolar. The company may also fund transactions that require in excess of $100 million. Since 1987, Capricorn has invested in portfolio companies whose annual revenue exceeded $3 billion.
