Brisbane Lightning

Brisbane Lightning is an ice hockey team that is based out of Brisbane, Australia. It was established in 2022 and is part of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). Other teams in the league include the Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, Newcastle Northstars, Sydney Bears, Sydney Ice Dogs, Adelaide Adrenaline, Perth Thunder, Central Coast Rhinos, and the CBR Brave. The team's home stadium is Boondall Iceworld in Brisbane, Australia. It is sponsored by Nice IT, which also designed the team's website.In addition to the team, there is also a management team that is composed of the head coach, assistant coach, and game day operation manager.

The team is made of fourteen players from Australia, Canada, and Finland. Brisbane Lightning's uniform colors are black, white, and gray. The team started competing with other teams in the AIHL in April 2022 and is set to play at least fifteen games total in the 2022 season, which runs through August. As of June 2022, Brisbane Lightning has won three games and lost two.
