BitBounce is a blockchain company that addresses the problem of email spam by allowing users to charge unknown contacts for sending emails to their inbox. It works with all major email service providers, including Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook, among others.

BitBounce first filters all emails into one of two categories:

  1. Emails from an existing contact
  2. Emails from senders whose addresses aren't on your contact list

In the case of an email from an existing contact, the email is received as normal with no differences from a traditional email service. In the case of an email from an unknown contact, an auto reply is sent to the sender that allows them to either request to have their name added to your contact list or to opt in to pay a charge set by the recipient in order to deliver the email.

BitBounce makes it costly for bulk spammers to send millions of emails for free, disrupting their business model and helping users to have less clutter in their inboxes.

BitBounce Business Model

BitBounce uses the Credo cryptocurrency for email payments. Users who recieve Credo payouts can exchange it for other cryptocurrencies on CredoEx, a cryptocurrency exchange, or they can save it and use it to pay for sending emails to new contacts themselves.

To fund their business, BitBounce takes a 30% commission on all Credo payments. BitBounce does not charge users directly for their service.
