Benjamin Thompson

Benjamin Thompson was born on March 26, 1753, in Woburn, Massachusetts. He was an engineer, physicist, scientist, writer, and dietitian. Thompson studied at Harvard College and had dual citizenship in the United States and the United Kingdom. He died on August 21, 1814, in Paris.

Thompson is known for being the creator of the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. He had a daughter named Sarah Thompson, who later became Countess Rumford.
