Benedict College

Benedict College is a private educational institution located in Columbia, South Carolina, United States. Founded in 1870, the college belongs to the higher education and university industries. It is also recognized as a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

The college's motto is "A Power for Good in Society". Benedict College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and the American Association for Leisure and Recreation, Council on Accreditation. Additionally, the college is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Athletic Association.
