On May 10, 2019 Aerial Applications announced raising $4.5 million in venture funding from Capital Factory and several angel investors. The company plans on using their venture funding to hire more engineers and marketers to increase the companies software capabilities and sales.
In March 2019 Aerial Applications participated in Verizon's 5G First Responder Lab incubator program. The company's CMO, Jeff Brooks, made the following statement regarding the incubator program:
We’ve found the program to be hugely beneficial. As part of the program, we’re getting early access to 5G hardware technology and the engineers behind it, which you can imagine is game-changing for us. On the technical side, that means our software and data products will be that much better positioned to be 5G-native when those networks come online.
