XetHub

XetHub is a Seattle-based company developing solutions for teams that work with data. It was founded in October 2021 by three engineers who had previously worked at Apple and wanted to develop a solution that enables collaboration on code and scale regardless of the size of the project.

XetHub, also the name of the company's platform, allows development teams to collaborate on and scale their Git repositories. Code and data files are accessible to each team's account, and the team can propose and review any changes made to the files. The history of the files, pull requests, and difference-based tracking are available for projects of almost any size. As of January 2023, XetHub can handle datasets of up to 1 terabyte and is developing the platform so it can handle datasets of up to 100 terabytes in the future. The structure of XetHub gives teams visibility and accountability for changes that are made to the files.

XetHub can be installed with a XetHub account, installation of the git-xet extension, and set SSH keys. Once it is installed, teams can start using it to track changes of code or files. If a team is working with a larger set of files, they can use Xet mount to get a read-only access of a Xet repository. Teams get a tutorial repository that can then be cloned to start the process of making changes.
