Vasily Chuikov

Vasily Chuikov was a Soviet officer , politician , and writer . He was born on January 31, 1900, in Serebryanye Prudy , and held citizenship in the Soviet Union . Chuikov passed away in Moscow on March 18, 1982 .

He wrote under the pseudonym General Şturm and received numerous awards throughout his career. Some of these awards include the Order of Lenin , Hero of the Soviet Union , Order of the October Revolution , and Order of the Red Banner .

Additionally, Vasily Chuikov was awarded several medals such as the Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR" , Medal "For the Victory over Japan" , Medal "For the Defence of Moscow" , and Medal "For the Defence of Stalingrad" . Furthermore, he received the Medal "For the Liberation of Warsaw" , Jubilee Medal "XX Years of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army" , Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" , and Medal "For the Capture of Berlin" .

Chuikov was also a recipient of the Order of the Red Star , Medal "For Strengthening of Brotherhood in Arms" , Medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" , Order of Sukhbaatar , and Order of the Red Banner of Labour .
