University of Patras

The University of Patras (Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών) is a public educational institute located in Rio, Greece. It was founded on November 11, 1964. The institution operates within the higher education and university industries, and is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece and the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency.

The University of Patras has several subsidiaries, including the School of Medicine, University of Patras, the Zoological Museum of the University of Patras, and the University of Patras Poetry Symposium.
