The University of Aveiro (Universidade de Aveiro) is a public educational institution located in Portugal. Founded in 1973, it is part of the Organization of Educational Institutes. The university's motto is "Theoria, Poiesis, Praxis".
The University of Aveiro is affiliated with several international associations and networks, including the European University Association, European Consortium of Innovative Universities, and Campus do Mar. Other affiliations include the European Industrial Doctoral School, EUNIVERCITIES NETWORK, Researchers in Motion, and the Association of Portuguese Speaking Universities.
