Thermatome Corporation is a company that developed a method and technology for treating women with breast cancer, with heat rather than radiation. The company's Thermatome Thermal Therapy provides women with a safe way to treat breast after cancer removal.

Thermatome developed its treatment method and technology using heat, immediately following surgery, to remove the need for weeks of radiation. It applies heat to the surgery site to ablate the surrounding tissue, getting rid of any cancer cells that remains in the margin.

Its technology consists of two parts which are: a disposable balloon that contains a heating coil and a control system, the balloon is placed at the lumpectomy site and filled with saline at the time of surgery (lumpectomy).
