TextRazor is a company that developed a natural language processing (NLP) application programming interface (API) software under the same name. It was founded in 2011 by Toby Crayston. The company is headquartered in London, England, United Kingdom. The software is used for various types of business clients, from those in the news organizations to advertising targetting.
TextRazor's software is designed to extract and classify specific information from text-based databases. It is capable of building new classifications and classifying existing datasets based on them. TextRazor is proficient in immediate information classification from their client's own text databases. This is achieved through its previous learning of publicly available knowledge databases, such as DBpedia (sourced through Wikipedia), Freebase, and Wikidata. It is also able to extract specific types of information based on the requested information type, using a custom classifier.
