Symplex

Symplex is a company providing a mobile application which allows individuals to receive an initial diagnosis through first-person symptom reporting and medical record examination, that can be followed with booking a doctor’s appointment. The company was established by Dhanush Rad and Gokul Prabhakaran. The application competed in New York University's mobile application competition in 2018. Symplex is based in New York City, New York, United States.

To use Symplx, users must download the mobile application, which is available for Android and iOS users. Users can then answer a series of diagnostics questions according to what they are currently experiencing. The application would then provide a series of medical conditions that might fit the reported symptoms, based on data provided by other users who have disclosed similar ones. With this information, users can then schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider if they need further consultation.
