Steven Weinberg

Steven Weinberg was an American writer and physicist born on March 5, 1933, in New York City . He held citizenship in the United States . Weinberg received education at Princeton University , Columbia University , and Cornell University . His doctoral advisor was Sam Treiman .

Throughout his career, Weinberg advised several doctoral students, including Claude Bernard , John Preskill , Edward Tryon , Fernando Quevedo , and Mark G. Raizen . He was awarded the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics . Steven Weinberg passed away on July 23, 2021, in Austin, Texas .
