Shivaji University

Shivaji University, also known as शिवाजी विद्यापीठ, is a public educational institute located in Kolhapur, India. It was founded in 1962. The university operates in the education, higher education, and university industries. The institution's motto is "Knowledge is the elixir of life".

Shivaji University is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, the Bar Council of India, the Council of Architecture, and the University Grants Commission of India. In addition, it is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Association of Indian Universities, Medical Council of India, and Distance Education Bureau.
