Shanghai University (SHU) is a public educational institute located in Shanghai, China. It was founded in 1994 and is accredited by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The university operates under the motto, "The movement of heaven is full of power. Thus the superior man makes himself strong and untiring. Be concerned about the affairs of state before others and enjoy comfort after others."
As an institution of higher learning, SHU focuses on industries such as education, higher education, and universities. The university has assigned at least five patents.
