Samuil Marshak

Samuil Marshak (born October 22, 1887) was a Russian poet, writer, screenwriter, and playwright. He was born in Voronezh, Russian Empire and later became a citizen of the Soviet Union. Marshak was educated at the University of London.

In his literary career, Samuil Marshak used various pseudonyms, such as Доктор Фрикен, С. Кучумов, and Уэллер. He mainly worked in the genres of poetry and verse (poetry).

Marshak passed away on July 4, 1964, in Moscow.
