Founded in 2017 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, SBQuantum (Shine Bright) is developing diamond-based quantum sensors with vectorial capabilities for space, defence and infrastructure inspection. Cofounders David Roy-Guay and Rachel Taylor have engineered cutting-edge technology that includes a quantum magnetometer that exploits the properties in nitrogen-vacancy diamonds. A spinoff from the Université de Sherbrooke's Institut Quantique, the startup is at the forefront of high-precision magnetometers.
