Robert Michael White

Robert Michael White (July 6, 1924 – March 17, 2010) was an American test pilot, engineer, and astronaut. He was born in New York City and held citizenship in the United States. White was educated at The George Washington University, U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, Air Command and Staff College, and New York University.

In addition to being an astronaut, White also served as an officer in the armed forces and worked as a test pilot and engineer. He passed away on March 17, 2010, in Orlando, Florida.
