Puebla is a Mexican football club from the city of Puebla de Zaragoza, Puebla State. The club competes in the top division of the Mexican Championship.

Football teams under different names have existed in Puebla since the end of the XIX century, but the modern club was officially formed on May 7, 1944.
he club clearly traces two "golden" periods — in the 1940s, Puebla won one silver, two bronze medals of the Mexican Championship and the Mexican Cup, and in the 1980s - two Mexican championships, two Mexican Cups and the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The victory in both the 1989/90 Mexican Championship and the 1990 Mexican Cup gave Puebla the right to call this achievement "Campeonisimo". In the 1990s — 2000s, the team periodically dropped into the second-tier league of Mexico, but then returned.
