The Plant Based Foods Association (PBFA) is a non-profit trade organization that was founded in 2015, and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. The Plant Based Foods Association works to ensure the creation of a sustainable, fair, and competitive market for plant-based ingredients and products. They reach out to media outlets, engage in educational programs, and have a public relations team with the goal of promoting consumer acceptance of plant-based foods. The Plant Based Food Association works with policy makers to remove policies and practices which put plant-based products at an economic disadvantage compared to meat products, such as labeling restrictions placed on plant-based food products.
