Peter Medawar

Peter Medawar (born February 28, 1915, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and deceased October 2, 1987, in London, UK) was a physician, professor, and biologist. He held dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and Brazil. Medawar studied at the University of Oxford, Magdalen College, Oxford, and Marlborough College. One notable doctoral student of his was Avrion Mitchison.

In 1960, Peter Medawar received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
