Pat Metheny

Pat Metheny , born Patrick Bruce Metheny on August 12, 1954 , is a songwriter , composer , guitarist , and musician from Lee's Summit, Missouri . He is a citizen of the United States .

Metheny is known for his work in the genre of jazz and hard bop . He studied at Lee's Summit High School , University of Miami , and Berklee College of Music .

Pat Metheny has received several Grammy Awards , including the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album , the Grammy Award for Best Improvised Jazz Solo , and the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album .
