Now Foods is a health and supplement manufacturing company founded by Elwood Richard in 1968. The company manufactures and distributes about 1,500 dietary supplements, foods, sports nutrition, and personal care products. Its products are sold in about sixty countries.
Now Foods operates a manufacturing facility and a distribution facility in Bloomingdale, Illinois; a manufacturing and distribution center in Sparks, Nevada; and a manufacturing facility in Ontario, Canada. Now Foods partnered with TerraCycle, a recycling company, to handle its flexible packaging like toothpaste tubes and food pouches.
The partnership also enables Now Foods' consumers to ship these items to TerraCycle for recycling. Now Foods provides different services and tools to assist retailers in building businesses, including an online training program referred to as NOW® Product-ology. It allows retail staff to watch training videos, test their progress with quizzes, and earn NOW products and a completion certificate.
In April 2023, NOW Foods and Fungi Perfecti announced the discovery of fake products sold by unauthorized third-party vendors on Amazon and reported the fraud to the Food and Drug Administration.
