Nathan East

Nathan East (born December 8, 1955) is an American bassist, record producer, and songwriter . He was born in Philadelphia and is a citizen of the United States . East is currently based in Los Angeles .

East is known for his work in various music genres, such as jazz-funk, smooth jazz, jazz, pop music, rock music, and post-bop . Apart from being a bassist, he is also a record producer, musician, guitarist, rhythm and blues, and soul music artist .

East attended Will C. Crawford High School and later pursued higher education at the University of California, San Diego .
