MerQbiz is a technology company offering a digital marketplace for recovered paper that is headquartered in El Segundo, California and was founded in 2016. MerQbiz is a joint venture between Voith GmhB and Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures.
The company is partnered with its customers to provide analytics, logistics, and procurement services for the recovered paper industry. Services offered by MerQbiz include: domestic and export transaction management, quality assessments, data analysis, and business intelligence.
BaleVision the recovered paper assessment, data analytics, and business intelligence platform. It was launched on August 7, 2019, and the president and CEO of John Fox, made the following comment regarding BaleVision at its launch:
BaleVision is an industry-first solution that gives sellers insights into the real value of their paper and enables mills to proactively optimize procurement and operational processes. There's nothing like it in the industry that can deliver this level of value.
BaleVision is made to integrate with the existing enterprise technology platforms used by the customers of MerQbiz, or it can be used as a stand alone platform. At its launch BaleVision was made available in North America, but the company has plans to expand into international markets.
