Founded 2010 in Atherton, California by Gary Kremen, Steve Bennet and Eric King, the firm invests in seed stages. On May 16, 2011, the company invested in the seed round of WaterSmart Software, a company that uses mobile and online tools to help water utilities educate and engage their customers to save water and money. The company invested $900K and coinvested with Sand Hill Angels, Physic Ventures and DFJ.
