American voice actor and comedian.

He began his nearly sixty-year career as a professional comedian as an announcer for radio commercials, but is best known for his voice work on Warner Bros. cartoons during the so-called "Golden Era of American Animation" and on the Hanna-Barbera television cartoon series in a later period.

The voice of Mel Blanc speaks such characters as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Cat Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Wiley E. Caioti (better known to Russian viewers as Cayote), Speedy Gonzalez mouse and others. For his extraordinarily diverse talent as a voice actor, Blank was nicknamed "The Man of a Thousand Voices."
