Brand advertising campaign
Max Mara history and contribution to world fashion.
Max Mara was founded in 1951 by Accile Maramotti, who inherited a love for women's fashion from his mother and great-grandmother, a dressmaker. The post-war years in Italy, as in all of Europe, were a difficult period of recovery. At this time, the young Accile starts a rather risky business - to open a ready-made clothing store (in the 50s, clothes were mainly sewn only to order). The young businessman stakes on democratic prices. For tailoring products, she prefers natural fabrics and elegant classic cut.
Max Mara has always been considered a true family business. Famous fashion designers were invited to develop the collections, whose names were not disclosed. This successful formula has been used by most Italian companies. Only recently were the names of the designers who worked for the fashion house Max Mara revealed, among which were Karl Lagerfeld and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. So much secrecy lies in the policy of the company.

Max Mara Shop
Models of the famous Max Mara coat, which made the brand recognizable, were already included in the first collection. They were a good copy of the Parisian fashion styles. Accile Maramotti himself never called himself a designer. He was interested in the needs of women in clothing and boldly offered them what they wanted. And they wanted elegant things, which was a problem in post-war Italy. The fair sex chose the Max Mara coat for its classic silhouette, feminine soft lines and, of course, for excellent quality.

Max Mara Coat
World fame for the Max Mara coat came a few decades later. In 1980, fashion designer Anna-Maria Beretta, who at that time collaborated with the brand of the same name, created a voluminous coat with an accentuated shoulder line. Women liked the model so much that it instantly made the Max Mara brand recognizable all over the world. A successful advertising campaign involving world-class models such as Carla Bruni, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington only consolidated the brand's success.
