Kismet Capital Group is a private equity investment firm founded in 2017 by Ivan Tavrin, who also serves as the CEO. The firm is based in Moscow and invests in the technology sector. Kismet Capital Group has launched three special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs): Kismet Acquisition One (KSMTU), Kismet Acquisition Two (KAIIU), and Kismet Acquisition Three (KIIIU). In August 2021, Kismet Acquisition One merged with Nexters Global Ltd.
Kismet Acquisitions One, Two, and Three were all founded in 2020. Kismet Acquisition One raised $250 million in August 2020. They both target European internet and technology companies, including ones established by Russian founders. In January 2021, Kismet Acquisition Three filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to raise an initial public offering (IPO) of up to $250 million.
Kismet Capital Group has invested in companies such as HeadHunter, Cian, Ozon, MediaOne, and Muz TV.
